summer in the city

i recently visited new york city; i love it there and even though it was rainy and dreary i still managed to take a lot of pictures. i'm not quite used to candid and street photography and it is near impossible to manual focus and try to capture what i wanted. taking these were a lot of fun because it's so different than what i usually do and although these aren't the best, i really like how some of them turned out.

it's been awhile

it's late, they tell you. go to sleep, go to sleep. outside, the streets are deserted. the house is empty, quiet, and still. but you can't, you just can't. and as you sit motionless on the soft carpet of your room as the music blasts on. it's hard not to remember and reminisce about him. it felt like forever ago. you don't want to admit it, but it hurts, so much. and there's nothing anyone can to do make it better. you wanted it to mean something, maybe everything. you opened yourself up to someone because you thought they cared, but that was a mistake. and now you can never go back. everything you see, everything you do is a reminder of him. "i can't stand this," you whisper, "i need to see you again. please." but he's already gone.
